Screams

Paintings born during the pandemic have since become increasingly harsh, topical, and imbued with tormented desperation and pain, expressing the absurdity of all wars in the world. Mariella Ridda conveys the screams of those who live in fear, forced to leave their own homes to save themselves. Screams of rage, of agony, yet at the same time powerful cries of defiance against a world that has fallen out of balance, a sick system, and a lost humanity. A world that can only be saved through an embrace of deeply felt forgiveness and rediscovered brotherhood.
